What: Join Virginia Tech expert Sean O'Keefe and Port City Brewing Company's Quality Control Manager Crystal Fraley for a fireside chat on the science behind beer and a tasting of four classic beer styles. Pick up a Port City Brewing Company variety pack at their Alexandria location (offering curbside pick-up orders) or at your local beverage retailer to participate in the tasting and/or join us to learn about what goes on behind the scenes of beer making.

Who: Virginia Tech and Port City Brewing Company
- Sean O’Keefe is a professor in the Department of Food Science and Technology at Virginia Tech. A home brewer himself, O’Keefe started the Brewing Science and Technology course that has a chemistry foundation, but also looks at the historical and cultural significance of brewing, tasting, and exploring a variety of beer styles.
- Crystal Fraley is the Quality Control Manager at Port City Brewing Company. She is a self-described yeast enthusiast who has worked in the beverage industry for almost a decade.
