U.S. Marine Corps flyover hosted by the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets planned for Saturday
BLACKSBURG, Va., September 23, 2009 -- The Marine Light Attack Helicopter Squadron 773, Detachment B, from Johnstown, Pa., will conduct a military aircraft flyover with AH-1W Super Cobra Attack Helicopters prior to the Virginia Tech versus Miami football game on Saturday, Sept. 26.
The flyover, which will occur during the National Anthem and barring any weather or operational factors, is being hosted by the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets. The flight will be led by Lt. Col. Patrick Steininger, United States Marine Corps, who received a degree in computer science from Virginia Techs College of Engineering in 1987.
