Ring Premiere: The Class of 2011 Ring Premiere, held Oct. 13 in Burruss Hall Auditorium, marked the 100th anniversary of the Virginia Tech Ring Tradition. To celebrate the occasion, the Class of 2011 invited the Virginia Tech and Town of Blacksburg communities to the Ring Premiere Fireworks Display, held on the Virginia Tech Drillfield, following the premiere.
In this time-honored tradition, a student-appointed Ring Committee designs a class ring representing the unique characteristics of their respective class. The committee unveils the ring design at the Annual Ring Premiere. Today, Virginia Tech is one of only a few colleges and universities that redesigns their ring collection each year.
