The photo gallery features winners and finalists of the Education Abroad 2013 Photo Contest. They were selected from over 300 submissions. The annual contest offers students and faculty/staff the opportunity to share their international experiences with the community.
"So many of our students go abroad and they have these incredible transformative experiences. They come back and they want to tell everybody who's willing to listen...I think opportunities like [the photo contest] give them the chance to represent their experience, and share their experience," said Jennifer Quijano Sax, interim director for Education Abroad.
A photo exhibit featuring the photos was held at the student-run XYZ Gallery in downtown Blacksburg. Dr. Guru Ghosh, vice president of Outreach and International Affairs, announced the winners during the gallery opening reception on April 15.
