'Sheer Good Fortune: Celebrating Toni Morrison' took place on Oct. 16, 2012, in Burruss Hall. The event, hosted by Maya Angelou, Joanne Gabbin, and Nikki Giovanni and sponsored by the Center for the Arts, was an opportunity to honor Morrison, an American novelist, editor, and professor.
