Virginia Tech is extremely proud of the academic accomplishments of its students. As such, students who achieve Dean's List honors or who graduate at the end of the fall or spring semester will be recognized and included on the Virginia Tech News website.
The university also sends announcements on each of these honors to each student's daily and weekly community newspapers.
Dean's List honors and spring graduates will be announced by the week of June 30, to permit faculty, the Office of the University Registrar, and the Graduate School to resolve and process all missing grades and grade changes. The website will be updated (and linked to the university homepage) at that time and announcements to community papers will follow thereafter.
PLEASE NOTE: Students who request that personal information be withheld in accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 can not be included in this recognition program. IN ADDITION, announcements on graduation or Dean's List honors can not be sent to community newspapers on those students who do not have a permanent address on file or who list their residence hall room or off campus apartment as their permanent address. Students are strongly encouraged to review their directory information using Hokie SPA as soon as possible to ensure their record is accurate and up to date.
