Counseling, advocacy from the Women’s Center

Sexual assault, relationship violence, stalking, cyberstalking and harassment are priority concerns for the Women’s Center at Virginia Tech. The Women’s Center provides services to assist the university community for those that have been a victim of one of these crimes, or to friends, family members, or others who are supporting someone who has been a victim.

The services that are provided include: advocacy, crisis intervention, short-term counseling, support groups, accompaniment to law enforcement, medical facilities, and judicial proceedings, information, and referral.  A couple of examples of outreach and education that is provided are Violence Against Women and Sexual Violence Prevention Council.

If you need to speak to someone immediately or after hours contact the Women's Resource Center of the NRV 24-hour hotline at (540)-639-1123. In the event of an emergency, please call 911.
