2010 Presidents Award for Excellence nominations open
From: Human Resources
Nominations are being accepted for the 2010 Presidents Award for Excellence. This award was established to recognize the outstanding contributions and consistently excellent performance of our salaried staff employees as well as certain administrative and professional faculty personnel. As part of the recognition, up to five employees will receive a certificate and a $2,000 award. Nominations for the Governors Awards are also being accepted through this same process. Nominations may be made by any university employee. Faculty and staff are encouraged to nominate employees who have displayed consistent excellence in carrying out their job responsibilities or have made extraordinary contributions outside their regular job duties. Please also consider employees, such as housekeeping staff and others, whose work enhances departments other than their own. Guidelines and nomination forms may be downloaded from the Human Resources web page, http://www.hr.vt.edu/. Please submit your nomination no later than Friday, January 29, 2010, to the Awards Selection Committee, c/o Human Resources, Southgate Center 0318.
