Apply now for Undergraduate Student Diversity Research Grants
Applications are now available for the 2009 Undergraduate Student Diversity Research Grants.
The Undergraduate Student Diversity Research grants are designed to stimulate, support and recognize outstanding undergraduate research projects related to diversity; and promote diversity research as a legitimate and valued area of scholarship.
Up to five grants of $500 will be awarded.
Application can be found at the www.caee.vt.edu website. Eligibility is limited to undergraduate students enrolled at Virginia Tech.
Students must identify a Virginia Tech faculty member or administrator to serve as a research mentor/advisor. However, students are expected to be actively engaged and should play a major role in carrying out the project.
Completed applications are due by December 1, 2009.
For more information, contact Cheryl B. Gittens, cgittens@vt.edu, 231-5499 or Ray Plaza rp25@vt.edu, 231-8114.
UDRG is a collaborative effort between the Office of the University Provost, Office for Equity and Inclusion and the Center for Academic Enrichment and Excellence (CAEE), and is a part of the Diversity Research Initiative.
