Hokie Wellness and Benefits Fair to be held Oct. 13

The Hokie Wellness and Benefits Fair will be held on Tuesday October 13 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm in the Squires Commonwealth Ballroom. The Fair will feature free massages, mini-seminars and demonstrations as well as numerous health screenings provided by area hospitals. Seasonal Flu Vaccines and CommonHealth health checks will be available on a walk-in basis from 9am -4pm. Representatives from university benefits providers as well as over 30 wellness organizations will be present at the fair. Human Resource Service Center representatives will be present to answer questions about health, dental and life insurance, disability and long-term care insurances, and Tax Sheltered Annuity programs. The department of Recreation Sports will lead us in fitness class demonstrations, so come Zumba with the Hokie Bird!

Put on your walking shoes and make a commitment to your health by joining the HOKIE BIRD along with many VT faculty & staff members in The 2009 Hokie Wellness Walk. Immediately following President Steger's KICK OFF speech at noon in the Ballroom, we will walk around the Drillfield together- distance approximately 1 mile. Participants are eligible to enter a raffle to win gift certificates.
