Spouse and Dependent Scholarship Fund

The Spouse and Dependent Scholarship Fund supports and encourages the education of dependents and spouses of eligible employees at Virginia Tech and enriches the university climate by recognizing the value of its employees and nurturing their retention.

Support of the scholarship fund comes from university employees. An equal number of need-based and non-need-based scholarships for eligible spouses and dependents are available.

Spouses or dependents of salaried, full and part-time classified and faculty staff members, and regular classified faculty members, and wage staff members employed by Virginia Tech are eligible for the scholarship. Applicants must meet financial aid deadlines, and the Office of University Scholarships and Financial Aid will identify potential recipients using standard criteria of financial need.

The number of awards, determined by available funds, will be distributed to recipients based on need and non-need criteria.
