The office of the dean of the College of Science will move to the North End Center from their current location in Bldg. 270-G behind Lane Hall, Sept. 5 and 6. Offices will be closed during this time period, however the student services section will remain open through 5 p.m. Sept. 6.

All sections will reopen for normal business in the new location, Suite 4300 on the fourth floor of the North End Center Sept. 9. The move also includes alumni relations, development, corporate and foundation relations, and communications, which will relocate from the Old Security Building to the North End Center. The new mailing address is: College of Science, Suite 4300 North End Center (0405), 300 Turner St. NW, in Blacksburg.

The modular building behind Lane Hall was installed in 1996 to house the College of Arts and Sciences and became home to the then newly-formed College of Science in 2003.

The North End Center is a $60 million project that began in 2012 following an agreement between Virginia Tech and the Virginia Tech Foundation, in association with Bob Pack, a local developer. The building has 141,000 square feet of mixed-use office and retail space and an 800-space parking garage.

Also located within the center are capital assets and financial management, internal audit, procurement, controller’s office, office of sponsored programs, research compliance, secure compliance, diversity and inclusion, and human resources.
