Video: Virginia Tech Summer Academy students welcomed to the university and Town of Blacksburg
Among the thousands of students enrolled in courses over the second summer session – which started July 9 – are more than 200 first year students participating in the 2013 Virginia Tech Summer Academy.
The program is open to traditional first-year students as well new transfer students and is designed to help students transition more seamlessly into the college experience.
The university and Town of Blacksburg partnered together to offer a welcome reception on July 10 for academy participants, with food, games, and booths from local vendors.
