Educational Technology Leadership Conference for Virginia starts in Roanoke Nov. 30
Virginia’s educational media and technology programs and future will be explored during the 16th annual Educational Technology Leadership Conference to be held Nov. 30 through Dec. 2 at the Hotel Roanoke and Conference Center in Roanoke.
Sponsored by Virginia Tech’s Center for Instructional Technology Solutions in Industry and Education, the conference is designed as a forum for individuals responsible for educational technology programs, including instructional technology, library media, distance learning, and instructional television and computing applications.
Conference presentations will focus on the major components of Virginia’s 2010-2015 educational technology plan – environment, engagement, application, tools, and results. In addition, special sessions will be aimed at assisting school divisions in developing safe, productive, and educationally sound uses of virtual-learning technologies.
School division superintendents, curriculum coordinators, staff development specialists, computing specialists, university teacher education specialists, and telecommunications professionals also will benefit from networking with colleagues from throughout the commonwealth.
The conference registration fee of $250 includes attendance at general and concurrent sessions, conference materials, refreshment breaks, and lunches on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1.
