BLACKSBURG, Va., Jan. 15, 2010 – Dear Virginia Tech friends and family,
I hope you have had a joyful holiday season and that with the beginning of a new year, you share our excitement in looking to the future. For Virginia Tech, in spite of the current fiscal climate and significant loss of state funding, the past year has been highly successful in moving us toward being one of the nation's finest universities. We have a watchful eye on the budget, but still enter 2010 with a great deal of hope and momentum.
As you view this short presentation (Flash required) of some of last year's successes, we trust you, too, will share the confidence we have for the future and our pride in Virginia Tech.
As always, we are proud to have you as part of the Virginia Tech family, and we believe this brief presentation provides a sense of how our university is "inventing the future." As we look to the future, I offer my best wishes to you and yours in the New Year.
