  <description>Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) have great potential for stationary and mobile applications. Stationary use ranges from residential applications to power plants. Mobile applications include power for ships at sea and in space, as well as for autos.   <title>Students make own biodiesel derived from waste vegetable oil to fuel vehicles</title>

  <description>A group of Virginia Tech students has produced more than 200 gallons of biodiesel as part of a senior design project for the department of mechanical engineering.
