The Virginia Water Resources Research Center at Virginia Tech has released a list of over 170 water resource-related bills in the 2009 Virginia General Assembly, and has made it available at its website.

The list was compiled from the general assembly’s Legislative Information System (LIS) and is linked to the LIS website. The LIS site provides each bill’s summary, full text, legislative history, and current status.

The Virginia Water Resources Research Center is also maintaining a list of links to general assembly news articles in Virginia news media during the 2009 session. Those links are available on the Virginia Water Central News Grouper (http://www.vwrrc.vt.edu/va_water_grouper.html), housed on the delicious.com site.

Housed in Virginia Tech’s College of Natural Resources, the Virginia Water Resources Research Center is a state agency responsible for providing research and educational opportunities to future water scientists, promoting research on practical solutions to water-resource challenges, and facilitating the transfer of water-science information to citizens and government leaders.
