Virginia Tech Dining Services will hold a job fair featuring representatives from each of the Virginia Tech dining centers on Aug. 12 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. in Owens Banquet Room. Job fair participants will be able to learn more about available jobs with dining services, apply for open positions, and even get hired on the spot.

Dining services will hire applicants for both the general dining wage pool and the student wage pool, with wage positions starting at $8.50 an hour for non-students and $8.25 an hour for students. In addition, employees will receive a free meal with every shift worked, paid training, and a uniform.

There are a variety of schedules available to provide flexibility to employees. Working for the Virginia Tech dining program offers a great opportunity to gain valuable experience at a self-operated dining organization and to begin a successful career in the university food service industry.

Applicants who wish to get a head-start can go to the Virginia Tech jobs website to start the application via job posting no. 061447, which will allow them to move through the hiring process at the job fair much faster. Students can also create an application for the student wage pool via posting no. 061455.

Virginia Tech Dining Services, a national award-winning, self-operated dining program within Virginia Tech Student Programs, offers a wide variety of positions with a strong commitment to diversity and professional development.
