Christine Marie McNabb of Manassas, Va., a sophomore majoring in aerospace engineering (minor in mathematics) in the College of Engineering, passed away unexpectedly at Roanoke Memorial Hospital on Feb. 23. She was 20 years old.

McNabb was a 2006 honors graduate of Osbourn Park High School. She was a dedicated member of the Engineering Club. Her dream was to learn how to fly and to work for NASA.

She was member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and belonged to their Explorers Group.

McNabb is survived by her father, James McNabb of Woodbridge, Va.; mother Barbara (Gary) Secen of Manassas; sister Laura McNabb of Centerville, Va.; and step-brother Rick McMunn of Brooklyn, NY. Maternal grandparents Donna and the late John Loszewski of Lawrence, Mass.; and preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Nancy and Arthur McNabb of Phoenixville, Penn., and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family and friends may call to Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Boulevard, Woodbridge, on Thursday, Feb. 28 from 5 to 9 p.m. with a wake service at 8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Feb. 29, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 12975 Purcell Road, Manassas, Va., 20112 with interment to follow at Fairfax Memorial Park.
