Virginia Tech Marching Virginians and the Virginia Cavalier Marching Band will perform first-ever joint concert


BLACKSBURG, Va., Nov. 16, 2007 – The Virginia Tech Marching Virginians and the Virginia Cavalier Marching Band will be performing together for the first time ever in a joint concert the night before the annual Commonwealth Day Football Game between the two universities on Friday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. in the John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville, Va.

The bands will perform traditional school songs and highlights from this season’s halftime shows. The concert features a finale with both bands performing together creating a 550-piece sound of Virginia.

Proceeds from the concert, sponsored by Virginia National Bank and MoneyWise, are being donated to the Ryan Clark Memorial Fund and the Cavalier Marching Band Fund.
