Meghan Williams of Blacksburg, Va., has been named communications manager for a newly created, dual position working for the University Center for Undergraduate Education and the Division of Student Affairs.

In her new position, Williams will be responsible for communicating the achievements of undergraduate students, faculty and staff at Virginia Tech to audiences that include current and prospective students, faculty, staff, alumni, current and prospective parents, and the community. In addition, she will report on the administrative and programmatic developments of the University Center for Undergraduate Education and the Division of Student Affairs.

Prior to her position at Virginia Tech, Williams served as associate director of public affairs for the Virginia Primary Care Association, a nonprofit organization, in Richmond, Va. A native of Suffolk, Va., Williams received her bachelor’s degree in communication from Radford University.
