One new and two updated publications are now available from Publications and Outreach Communications in University Relations.

The new publication is "Virginia Tech's Stone of Tradition," a full-color brochure about Hokie Stone that answers four questions about the native limestone: What is Hokie Stone? Where do we get Hokie Stone? How is Hokie Stone made? How is Hokie Stone used on the Tech campus?

It was written by Allan Miller and designed by Barbara Corbett. Departments can obtain up to 20 free copies of the brochure per year with additional copies costing 30 cents each.

Inside Virginia Tech: A University Putting Knowledge to Work, a full-color, magazine-like publication that provides general information about the university, including a campus map, has been updated.

It was written by Richard Lovegrove and designed by Glen Duncan. Departments can request up to 20 free copies per year. Additional copies are available for $2 each.

"Facts Card 2004-05," a two-color, pocket-sized brochure that includes basic facts about the university, also has been updated.

It was written by Lovegrove and designed by Duncan. Up to 25 free copies are available per year to departments with additional copies costing 20 cents each.

To make arrangements for obtaining any of the publications, contact Phyllis Olinger from 8 a.m.-noon, Monday-Friday, at 1-6867 or phylo@vt.edu.
