Virginia Tech's Office of Student Programs will thank its customers by throwing a grand Hawaiian luau from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 29, on the Dietrick lawn and at Shultz Dining Center.

Guests will be treated to a Hawaiian buffet, including barbecue pork, teriyaki chicken, grilled mahi mahi, coconut shrimp, Hawaiian ambrosia, sweet rolls, Polynesian potatoes, sweet potato fries, fresh corn on the cob, tropical pineapple cake, chocolate luau cake, and a selection of vegetarian and vegan items. An active volcano and fire pit will add to the atmosphere of the evening.

Students will not only get a meal of Hawaiian specialties, but they also will get to dance the hula with a professional instructor and play traditional island games. Tickets to the Coca-Cola® 600 NASCAR race, tickets to the Snowshoe bike terrain park, a mountain bike, and T-shirts, sponsored by Coca-Cola®, will be given away.

Students, faculty, and staff are invited. Meals Plus Plans, Flex Plans ($3.33), and cash, Dining Dollars, and Hokie Passport Accounts ($10.50) will be accepted. In case of rain, the event will be held inside the Depot at Dietrick.
