The Virginia Tech Board of Visitors will hold its quarterly board meeting on campus Monday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. in the board room of Torgersen Hall (Rm. 2100).

Among topics for consideration are: bylaws revisions, compensation adjustments for graduate assistants, and adoption of plans for management of the Optional Retirement Plan. In addition to regular committee reports, the board will receive reports from the Ad hoc Committee on Revisions to the Board of Visitors Bylaws and the Ad hoc Committee on the Narrow-Tailoring Concept.

All committee meetings will be held at the Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center. Meetings are as follows:

Nov. 2

The Executive Committee, 11:30 a.m., Board Room. Closed session only.

The Ad hoc Committee on the Narrow-Tailoring Concept, 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Executive Conference Room.

Nov. 3

Academic Affairs Committee, 8:30 a.m., Conference Room F.

Building and Grounds Committee, 8:00 a.m. in closed session, 8:45 a.m. open session, Conference Room A.

Finance and Audit Committee, 7:30 a.m. in closed session, 8:30 a.m. open session, Executive Conference Room.

Student Affairs Committee, 9:00 a.m., Conference Room G.

Full Board, 1:00 p.m., Room 2100, Torgersen Hall.

The board will have an information session Sunday, Nov. 2 at 2:30 p.m. to receive presentations on nanotechnology, the National Lambda Rail Consortium and the new terascale supercomputer.
