The Center for Forest Products Marketing and Management will feature Edward C. Brindley to speak on recent events in the pallet industry and the impact on the lumber industry. Brindley will speak at the center's annual meeting on Mar. 17, 2003, at the Donaldson Brown Hotel and Conference Center on the Virginia Tech Campus.

Edward C. Brindley Jr., president of Industrial Reporting, Inc., will address the many changes that have occurred in the last ten years in the pallet industry, and upon whom these changes will impact in the hardwood and softwood lumber industry. Brindley specializes in publishing magazines and reports for the forest product industry, which have an emphasis on low-grade lumber products.

CollegeNatural Resource's wood science and forest products department at Virginia Tech. The industry partners will interview students for permanent positions and summer internships. The annual meeting will also allow networking with industry representatives, provide results from the member satisfaction survey, and offer attendees a chance to learn more about the center and share researching ideas, as well as assist the center in planning its direction for the next three-to-five years in this ever-evolving industry.
